"Norton Antivirus 2006 is old junk!"

winAntiVirus : HOAX!
It's always embarrassing for a computer techie person like myself to experience their computer infected with viruses and spyware, especially when browser pages are popping up, advertising fake anti-virus solutions like winAntiVirus pro 2006. Despite their professionally designed website, and claims of having unmatched customer support, no review site or trustworthy source such as CNET have given any recommendation for winAntivirus Pro 2006. However, I didn't need that to know how hoaky the company is - when their site says "your current antivirus protection is not effective!" (obviously, if I got this popup, but still..) and a bogus quote from CNET, "...Norton antivirus 2006 is old junk!" (even if it is true), sure..you know for sure the company just wants your credit card number.. and expect to see superfluous $13 charges on your credit card every month.

Looks like its time to remove the ol' hard drive and scan it on another computer. Excuse me while I close 10 popups that firefox failed to block.
