If Photoshop CS3 crashes when you hit file > open

This bug was quite annoying for me, since I thought Photoshop had hanged upon hitting file > open. The dialog would appear for a split second then disappear. Subsequent attempts to hit file > open (or double clicking on the gray background) would not work. However, Photoshop was not unresponsive in task manager. Then, I found the solution (thanks to a user named Dave Milbut on the Adobe forums) - Simply hit escape after Photoshop seems to "hang", and try clicking file > open again. Works like a charm! Turns out, the open dialog is off the screen, despite not being visible on my other screen - because it is actually still inside the Photoshop window.
