Belkin Wireless G USB F5D7050 Windows 7 drivers

Belkin Wireless G USB F5D7050Are you looking for the Belkin Wireless G USB F5D7050 Windows 7 drivers? If so then you will be pleasantly surprised, as I was, that the Belkin Wireless G adapter works out of the box with Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. This came as a relief because the Netgear WG111 v2 would not work in Windows 7, even with Vista 64 bit drivers.

So, if you are looking for a wireless G usb adapter that will work in windows 7 (and you don't want to pay for a wireless N adapter) then look no further than the Belkin Wireless G USB F5D7050.

F5D7050 Version 4 doesn't work for me out of the box for Windows 7 RC. Haven't found a solution.

It does not work out of the box for Windows 7 32-bit! Trying to use older drivers causes BSOD.

Anyone have a trick other than "install using compatibility mode"? I have the F5D7050 v.4 and cannot stay connected to my home network. No issues under Vista on same computer. No Windows 7 drivers from Belkin either...

Hi sefner,

The solution that worked for me was as follows:

1. Uninstall all current Belkin software AND drivers
2. Unplug Belkin adapter
3. Restart PC.
4. Run v.4 compatibility as Vista (without any service packs)
5. When prompted, plug Belkin adapter back in.
6. Rejoice!

Cheers and good luck.

Thanks for your suggestions Chew. I tried your steps w/out luck...

I've tried just about everything I can think of. I can't keep a connection for more than about 5min under windows 7 with my F5D7050 v.4 This sucks because I work on computers on the side out in my garage and have always used my Belkin Wireless without issue.

Might just be this particular mobo under windows 7. It's an older intel board and uses USB1.1 Don't laugh, it's just a test computer, but it actually runs windows 7 not half bad.

Hi Sefner,

Hmm, actually mine does tend to disconnect every so often - I can reconnect ok if I repair it but it is a little annoying.

I just put it down to the driver not being 100% designed for W7.

Keep an eye on the Belkin site as hopefully soon they'll provide the genuine driver and I'm sure that will fix the problem.

Cheers,

Chew.

I am also getting blue screens. Wasn't sure if it was from the Belkin or not. Sounds like it may just be the culprit though...

Which Dlink model did you buy? Thanks

Yes, installing the older version of the driver (IE the VISTA driver) using compatibility mode causes BSODs when utilizing the device.

It also does NOT work out of the box with Windows 7 Ultimate. If someone can find a way to resolve the issues with this, please post it, because I'd like to use the internet in 7 and not have to reboot into XP to do so.

BSOD here also. No solution that I've come across. I've tried just about everything posted on the net regarding this adapter.

I have been having so many problems with getting this belkin g stick to work with windows 7. BSOD and its not always the same error. I remember these had problems back when vista launched too. They seem to work fine on xp though. Seems like poor driver support from belkin and I get the impression they use the customer as the guinea pig to find all the problems and then go in and make a driver that will work.

Any updates on if the latest drivers for F57050 v4 on Belkin's page are compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit)? They have a description that explicitly states so, but I recall having NO luck when I was getting it to work with an updated Vista 64...couldn't even upgrade to Vista SP2 because it would kill the device. Whatever current driver I have installed "is not compatible with W7" according to Microsoft's upgrade advisor--and I really want to upgrade soon.
